                                                   Facts about ancient India

Ancient India consisted today's Pakistan and also Afghanistan. Pakistan was a part of India that time also. River Sindhu is flowing there.  Because of that river, Aryans called the place as Hindustan. Now more facts about the other countries.
There was a place which was inhabited by various breeds of horses. Hence it was called Ashwa Sthana. During Mahabharat time, when Yudhistir  was planning to do Ashwamedha Yaaga. In that, a horse was made to wander as its wish and whoever ties it, he had to fight with Arjun who was accompaning it. Arjun usually wins the battle and receives gifts from defeated kings.
It is believed that horse had entered Ashwa Sthana and the king ruling it, tied the horse. Hence he had to fight with Arjun.
After losing the battle, king of Ashwa Sthana had presented Arjun various breeds of horses. The Ashwa Sthana of that time is today's Afghanistan.
Similarly, The country Kambhoja of that time is today's Cambodia.  During that time, India was vast that it consisted of all these places. But now, Kashmir is also halved .
