Humbleness

                                         Humbleness

Saint Vyasa was believed to have written down the epic Mahabharat. Some say that it was God Ganesh who has written down as Vyasa went on saying.
As  Mahabharat got much appreciation, Vyasa had become famous. He had become proud of himself. At that time, Narad thought the pride of Vyasa must be broken.
He came near Vyasa and described Kashi is the place everyone must visit in their life time. Vyasa had not been to Kashi yet. Vyasa thought that he must visit the place. He dreamt that people are arranging felicitation programs for him throughout the way.
He started his journey with  his students. But to his surprise, no one recognised him. Vyasa thought that people still dont know about his great achievement. He reached Kashi. But even there, though there are many people who are studying the great epics of Hinduism, no one recognised him.
It had irked Vyasa. It was the lunch time. As they had travelled a long distance, he himself and his students were very hungry. But no one invited them for lunch. Angry he was, he was about to give the curse to entire Kashi city.
At that time, a lady well dressed came infront of him. She invited him for lunch. Vyasa said he had come with his students. Lady with a smiling face, she invited everyone. Her mansion was very big. Even her husband was there and both the couple started preparation.
They only laid the banana leaves and invited all of them for lunch. But nothing was served yet. All of them sat infront of banana leaves. As soon as they sat, whatever they think about lunch, all served on the leaf instantaneously. All of them had a tasty meal.
Then Vyasa realised that couple are none other than Shiv and Parvati. After the lunch, the couple felicitated Vyasa. Vyasa was very happy. He became very humble now since God himself has helicitated him.!
