Therma - meter
We all use therma meter when we have fever, to check the body temperature. The therma meter gives the value of temperature in farren heits , an unit of temperature just like Celsius.
Galileo Galilee was the first to use therma meter to measure body temperature. But in the beginning , he used alco hol inside the tube.
But nowadays we use mercury. Mercury is having the character to expand to slightest variation of temperature.
Mercury expands if the temperature is higher than the initial prescribed value of human body, thus marking out the occurence of fever if exists.
