Let me explain with an example -----
Suppose we have a just now prepared dosa and also a scoop of ice cream infront of us .
We get the aroma of hot dosa first .
Why ????
When something is hot , its molecules ( as that of hot dosa ) will travel vibrantly in the air and reach our nose . But the cold molecules ( as that of ice cream ) move slowly compared to hot ones .
We will get the smell of ice cream after some time .
