The nuclear fusion reaction
When travelling in space, enormous amount of energy is required for the spacecraft. At present, all the space crafts are using solar energy as it is not a good idea to carry fuel with space crafts. But using solar energy itself has a main drawback.
Till planet Saturn, it is easy to get solar energy. But beyond that, solar energy is not available fully as distance from Sun goes on increasing. That's why scientists are now thinking of possiblity of Nuclear Fusion reaction in order to get energy.
Nuclear Fusion is a reaction where 4 hydrogen molecules are combined to get a helium ion. The reaction results in enormous energy. Scientists are now hoping to get this perticular reaction for the energy needs as spacecraft moves away from Sun.
