Why do carbonated drinks bubble more in plastic cups?

Why do carbonated drinks bubble more in plastic cups?

Its the plastic cups made of PET ( Poly Ethylene Terephthalate ) . It causes the carbonated drinks to bubble more .
PET is a strong polymer. It has the ability to contain Carbon dioxide , and is material of choice for carbonated drinks container.
Carbon dioxide is the gas which is responsible for bubbling effect. By producing bubbles, there is a creation of barrier layers , which prevents the loss of carbonation.
The containers made of PET , prevents the leakage of carbon dioxide and oxygen from entering . Hence , the drinks will be colder and fizzier.
