Of which material Indian currency notes are made of?

Most of us may answer to this question as " paper ". Till today , even I was thinking that currency notes what we use daily , are made of paper. But its not !
I had read in news paper that RBI ( Reserve Bank of India ) is planning to introduce plastic notes from the second half of year 2014.
The currency notes what we are using today, are not made of paper. They are made of pulp containing cotton and Balsam with special dyes to make the currency notes more durable and resistant to wear and tear.
But now everyday we hear the news of fake currency notes. RBI is planning to introduce plastic notes as to curb this menace. Australia is the first country to have plastic currency notes.
