Our deeds in last birth , responsible for our present existance

Our deeds in last birth , responsible for our present existence

Long ago, there was a king. He was a good ruler. Moreover , not a single unwanted work is reporting in his kingdom.
People were maintaining harmony with each other. King was thinking he is not having worries about his kingdom.
He shared his view with main priest of kingdom. He asked for the reason for this. Priest asked for 2 days of time.
After 2 days, he came near king and said answer to king's question is with a man who is staying in forest. They both went to the place.
There they saw a man who was sitting infront of flame. His chest hairs were burnt because of heat. He was looking hungry too.
King was surprised to see him sitting infront of flame in summer season. Seeing questions in king's face , man said the answer to all of his questions are with a woman in next village.
All of them went to village. There they found a insane woman ( who has lost mental balance ). She was wearing torn clothes and asking for food with everyone she sees on the way.
Showing the lady, man said " She was our mother in our previous birth. I was your elder brother. All the 3 of us , were staying in a hut. We were very poor. We had not eaten for several days. One day, we got 3 rotis. We were about to eat the rotis. Then a beggar came to our house and asked for food. We only found food after so many days. My mother was irritated by seeing the beggar. She said him to go away. But he was standing still. Mother in madness, went near him and tore his clothes. She scolded him badly. Still he was standing looking at us hopefully. I was present there. In a rage, I collected some burnt coal and threw them on him. His skin was burnt. Seeing his condition, you offered him your share of roti. Happy as he was, he blessed you. That is the reason, we are like this and you are a king with no problems. We must pay for what we have done , be it good or bad ".
King has got the answer for his doubts.
