We know English alphabet has 26 letters.
From A to Z..
Until 1835, the English alphabet was having the letter ampersand ( &) right after letter Z.
Why was the 27th letter removed ???
The & sign which was referred as "and", made reciting the alphabets awkward.
It was odd to say x, y. Z...... and.
That's why they removed it.
