Drona,the master of archery

                                    Drona,the master of archery

During Mahabharat time, Drona was the master of archery for Kouravas as well as Pandavas. Here is the story which illustrate how Drona got the knowledge in archery.
It was the time when Parashuram was taking the revenge of his mother's death. Parashuram was killing all the kings on earth. After his ravenge was fulfilled, Parashuram felt sorry for what he had done. As repenting he was, he decided to give whatever he has, to the people who beg for it. Like this, he was seen giving donations to all who come near him.
Parashuram had given almost everything he had. One day, Drona came near him asking for valuable things. But now, Parashuram is almost empty handed. But he didnt want Drona to return empty hand. Parashuram explained his inability to fulfill Drona's wish.
Parashuram asked Drona what else he wants as substitute to his desire of wealth? Drona was fond of archery. Drona knew even Parashuram is a well known name in archery. Hence, Drona begged Parashuram to teach him the secrets of archery.
Parashuram agreed . He taught Drona all the techniques he know of.  After learning all those, Drona went to Hastinapur  where he knew princes are growing. He had been appointed as princes' master. Drona had a special love for Arjuna as he was good at aiming. Rest is history.
