Why do we have 2 power indicators in the house?

Why do we have 2 power indicators in the house?

We can see the power indicators in every house. It is always in the main hall. By seeing the bulb glowing inside, we say whether there is power to house or not.
In the newly constructed houses or the houses which have been constructed before a decade or two, we can always see 2 power indicators.
In old houses, there is only one.

What do they say ?

Our house electrical wiring is divided into 2 separations.
One is , Lighting circuit and the other is Heating circuit.

Lighting circuit has the instruments which dont draw much power. They are connected  with thin wires. Examples are fans, lights ( both bulb and tubes ) , TV and nowadays computer too.
Heating circuit has the instruments which draw lot of power. They are connected with thick wires. Examples are wet grinders, dry grinders , fridge, AC , pumps, electrical geysers etc.

If power to lighting circuit is nil, that means power is cut.
