Yesterday was the semifinal match between India and New Zealand.
India won the toss and decided to bat first.
Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill had given a strong foundation.
Rohit Sharma was aggressive as usual. Just in a blink of a second, he scored 47 runs and got out.
Till he was batting, the crowd had witnessed a rainfall of sixes !!!
But as soon as the first power play got ended, New Zealand fielding had become tight.
Shubhman Gill was able to score a half century.
When Gill was at 78 runs, he got leg cramps and was retired hurt and back to pavilion.
Shreyas joined Kohli. Shreyas aiyyer batted well and even he scored 50 !!!
India had reached 300 runs in 47th over.
Virat Kohli scored 100 runs and with that Kohli has broken the record of Tendulkar of scoring highest number of centuries.
Before ending his batting. Kohli had hit a huge 6 and New Zealand fielders seemed restless and frustrated !!!
Sixer Shreyas had completed his century in just 67 balls.
After dismissal of Shreyas, Surya came to bat and returned to the pavilion instantly
I wonder why did he take the trouble to come to crease ???
After his dismissal, Shubhman Gill had come to bat as he was retired hurt earlier but not got out.
So, at the end of. 50 overs India posted a huge score of 397 runs.
New Zealand were fighting back. There were 212 /2 in just 31 overs.
India was not able to break the 3rd wicket partnership. As the time passes , New Zealand was looking dangerous .
Indian side is staring a defeat. Crowd has gone silent.
Mohammed Shami did magic !!!!!
He had taken back to back 2 wickets.
India was again on winning streak ......

Jadeja had taken a brilliant catch near boundary line.

Finally , India won by 70 runs and is in finals now.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has taken 7 wickets and was the main reason for batting collapse of New Zealand.
