Yesterday was the match between Sri Lanka and India.
Sri Lanka bowled first.
India lost opener Rohit Sharma very early.
But there was a good partnership between Kohli and Gill., which was very crucial at that point.
Because of these two batsmen a partnership of 100 runs was built and India as a team crossed 100 run milestone at 16 over.
Though they are scoring runs, they were happy with boundaries and singles.
The first 6 of Indian innings came at 27th over by Gill.
But he was out after scoring 92 runs, missed his century......
Gill and Kohli partnership is of 189 runs.
Even Kohli missed his century, got out for 88 runs....
Shreyas Iyer's quickfire 36 ball half century kept India alive.
Finally India finished its innings at 357 runs for 8 wickets.
In reply, Sri Lanka has started batting and in first 3 overs had lost 4 wickets just for 3 runs !!!
By looking at the score, I thought this match is going to be one sided match as half of Sri Lankan batsmen were already back to pavilion !!!!
There was nothing interesting left to watch in the match.
Sri Lanka were all out just for 55 runs.
They could not complete 20 overs also.
Sri Lanka have recorded the second lowest total in a world cup cricket match.
Siraj and Shami both of them together broke the backbone of Sri Lanka. batting.
