Greater than GOD
Akbar was a very well known king in world. He was getting pleased by mere flattering. Many of the outside tourists were aware of this and they were just praising him. Happy Akbar used to give them valuable gifts. People of court disliked this.
Once some tourists came from faraway place. They met Akbar. In the hurry to praise him, one of them said that Akbar is greater than God himself. As usual , Akbar was very happy with this comparison. He rewarded the tourist with valuable gifts.
After tourist's departure, Akbar prodly looked at the court and asked them that if anyone would challenge that saying? Though everyone disagreed that comparison, no one had courage to express their feeling. They all kept quiet. Beaming Akbar asked Birbal's opinion.
Birbal replied that he will agree with tourist. Everyone were surprised by his words. Birbal further said " If you are angry on some one, you can expel from your kingdom. But whole world is God's kingdom. If he is angry on someone also, he cant expel him from his kingdom since whole world is his kingdom. But king can do that. So, king is greater than GOD."
By listening to that, Akbar realised that he was being foolish. He rewarded Birbal with rewards for opening his eye to the truth.
