Golden deer

                                             Golden deer

It was the time of Ramayana. Ram, Sita and Laxman were staying in forest. At that time a demon named Shoorpanakha saw that Ram was resting with his wife Sita. She fell in love with Ram. She went and confessed her love to him. But as Ram is already married, he got irritated by her request. As last try, he said to Shoorpanakha that his brother Laxman may agree to her request. Shoorpanakha went near Laxman and started troubling him to marry her.
Laxman tried to talk to her. But she was not in a position to listen. Finally, in a rage Laxman cut her nose and ears. She went near her brother Ravan crying. Ravan asked the reason. Shooranakha didnt tell the truth. Instead she said that in the forest, she saw a beautiful lady. As she approached to talk to her, her husband and his brother cut her face.
This made Ravan angry. He went there with his friend Maaricha. Maaricha disguised himself as a golden deer. Ravan saw Seeta and fell in love with her. To lure her, the golden deer started wandering near her. When she approached near that, it went into forest. Sita begged her husband Ram, to get that deer for her. Ram went inside the forest.
With Ram's arrow, deer got killed. But while dying, it imitated Ram's voice and called Laxman and Sita. Sita heard that. She asked Laxman to go in search of Ram. But Laxman firmly said that it must be magic of demons. Listening to that, Sita accused Laxman for not going in search of Ram.
Laxman could not stand the hot words. He left and Ravan was waiting for this opportunity and he kidnapped Sita. Rest is Ramayan.
