Malpe , the sea shore place
Udupi is a coastal town. We have Arabian Sea here. The place where the beach is very famous with tourists who come to Udupi is Malpe.
In Malpe, we can see an island situated in sea waters . It is St. Mary Island. It was in news recently for all the wrong reasons. But for the tourists, it is well known for the volcanic rocks situated there. They are in different shapes.
But since how many years, they are there? According to scientists, since 6 billion years, the rocks are there. According to them, they are formed because lava of a volcano is got hardened and became the rocks. In whole world, in only 3 places,this type of construction is formed.
Another reason to be proud of my place !
