                                               Obedience and Politeness
Once upon a time,the education was given by gurukuls.Ramu and Shamu are best friends and both of them had the urge to educate themselves.So they joined one of the gurukuls.Both of them were brilliant in studies.Their teacher liked them both.
Now their education is complete.So,their teacher said them so.And he wanted them to use the essence of education for good purpose.
One day,he had a urgent work to attend for in near by village.So,he left the gurukul early in the morning. Ramu and Shamu were not aware of this.So,when both of them got up in morning,they didnt find their teacher.The teacher himself used to allocate work for them.Now , they are in fix about what to do and what not to do.
Finally,both of them decided to sweep the floor of gurukul as they were used to this work.But now came the real trouble.Ramu said he is elder than Shamu and it is not right for him to do the sweeping work.And he wanted Shamu to sweep the floor.
But,Shamu had a different version of story.Eventhough,he is younger to Ramu,he has performed better than Ramu in studies.So,he thinks it is not right for him to sweep the floor as he has excellency in studies over Ramu.He thinks for the most intelligent person like him,sweeping is the inferior job.So,both of them started quarrelling.
So,when the teacher returned to gurukul,he found both of his students quarrelling.He also observed that the gurukul is not tidy.So,he asked his students for reason of fighting.He came to know about the reason.But he didnt say anything.
Instead he started to sweep the floor by himself.He said to students as they think that sweeping work is inferior to their edaucational knowledge,he is doing the work by himself.He said to them NO WORK IS INFERIOR FOR HIM.Then the boys realised their mistake and pleaded for pardon by teacher.And both of them together,sweeped the floor.
Moral : Eventhough we have got education,obedience and politeness are must.
