why parashuram killed kings?
it is known that parashuram killed all the existing kshatriyas on earth.here is the reason
parashuram is the son of saint jamadagni and kshatriya origin renuka.once while returning home,he saw his mother crying hysterically.disturbed by this,parashuram asked his mother for reason.at that time,renuka beating her chest 21 times in sorrow explained parashuram that his father was mercilessly killed by the king of their country for no reason.
hearing this,parashuram was so mad in rage that he vowed to eliminate all the kshatriyas on earth.as his mother beated her chest 21 times in sorrow over the death of her husband,parashuram scanned the whole earth 21 times for kshatriyas and killed them.
it was said that he was residing in uttara karnataka.when he returned from his mission,his axe was so bloody from the blood of kshatriyas that he decided to wash it in river water.he saw river malaprabha was flo wing near by and decided to wash his axe in that river.
so when parashuram was cleaning his axe in the river water,the river water turns red by the blood.so when the villagers who were washing their clothes in the river water, exclaimed that "ai,hole".so the place in which parashuram believed to clean his axe is now known as aihole.
