Akbar - Birbal story
Akbar wanted a new courtier. Listening to the news, many people approached Akbar saying that they would suit the position. But Akbar wanted a courtier who is intelligent. Akbar wanted to test all of the contestants. He removed the towel he was having on his shoulder.
He lied down on floor. Showing the towel to all of the contestants, Akbar posed a problem. They have to cover him with the towel.
Everyone agreed. But when trying to cover Akbar with the towel, if they cover head Akbar's legs are open. If they try to cover legs first, Akbar's head is open. Since the length of towel is not much long so that it could cover whole body of Akbar, contestants are now in a fix.
They didnt know what to do ? At that time itself, Birbal has entered the court. Seeing everyone in tension. Birbal asked for reason. Contestants said about problem given by Akbar. Since the towel is short, they can not cover entire body of Akbar with that.
They asked Birbal to help them. Birbal thought for a while. He directly went near Akbar and requested him to bend his knees so that his legs become shorter. Now, Birbal covered entire body of Akbar with the towel. Akbar was amused by the way Birbal had solved the problem.
