Tenali Rama story
Once a woman came to King Krishna Devaraya's court. She showed a saree to king. It was very nice. King was really impressed by seeing that. Seeing the king's appreciation on his face, woman put forward an offer. She said to king that the weavers who had made the saree are with her and on demand, they are ready to make more such sarees. King gave the order for sarees and gave them 3 months time.
The weavers along with woman , have come and stayed in the palace itself. They were enjoying the royal treatment being given to them. But there were no words of saree. Time is getting over but still the saree is not ready. King strictly told the woman that she have to give the saree on time.
Woman agreed and said to king that saree is ready but it is visible to those who are lucky and destined to be. The news spread and the day of exhibition of saree has also come. Woman made gestures that she is opening the packet of saree.
But no one could really see the saree. Actually there was no saree. But to encash the people's foolishness, woman and weavers were telling lies. But no one is having the guts to tell the truth. everyone were praising the design of invisible saree.
Even the king did some appreciation remarks. But to his minister , Tenali Rama he said the truth that he cant see the saree. Even Ramakrishna had thought the same. He had come to know the evil plan of woman and weavers .
When asked about saree, Ramakrishna too appreciated saree. But he said that if the woman present there, just wear and show the heavenly saree, it would be a great help. Now the woman and weavers are trapped. They can not deny the request nor they can tell that they are ready to wear and show the invisible saree. They agreed their cheating and asked for mercy with king.
