Ravan learnt a lesson for being proud

Ravan learnt a lesson for being proud

Ravan was the king of Lanka. He almost won over every king of surroundings. Everyone was praising him that he is invincible. This made Ravan proud about himself and his ability.
He thought that it is the time that he will declare the war on heaven. Likewise, he did and won over the king of heaven , Indra and captured him.
Being humiliated Indra sought the help of God Brahma. Brahma came and convinced Ravan to free Indra. Ravan agreed and freed Indra.
That time, Saint Narad who was passing by, saw this and came near Ravan. Narad said to Ravan that he must defeat a king who was equally strong as he is.
Ravan asked Narad to show that king. Narad agreed and took Ravan near the king. But Ravan could not see the king . All he was seeing was just the mountain.
Ravan said the same to Narad. Then Narad replied that it is not the mountain but the king Vali who is the king of monkeys.
Narad asked Ravan to lift the tail of Vali. Ravan tried but could not. Narad ridiculed him that Ravan could not lift the tail of Vali, leave the matter of winning him.
Ravan learnt a lesson that there are people who are stronger than him.
