What is theft?

                               What is theft?
Guru Arya jeevaka is a well known ayurvedic doctor .  One day he was passing through country side. He saw a rare specimen of herb in a farmer's field. The doctor needed it for medicines. His students understood the intention of their master. They were ready to tresspass the barrier and enter field. But Arya Jeevaka stopped them from doing so.
His students were puzzled. They said to their master "The King himself has given permission to use herbs wherever found. Lets pick it up ." But Arya Jeevaka said " King's permission is only to those place where nobody's ownership is there. But here the herb is grown on farmer's field. If we pick it up without his permission , it would be called theft. Lets wait for farmer."
They waited till the farmer comes. Then they asked for his permission for plucking herb. After picking it up, they left.

  1. Yes, we have no right to take away the "phala" of toils of others. We must seek his/her permission
