Conditions are the real cause for many problems
This incident dates back to the days of Bhagwan Buddha. Ananda was the follower of Buddha. Ananda was also relative of Buddha and was elder to Buddha.
Before joining Buddha as his follower, Ananda had put 3 conditions and said if Buddha can fulfill those, he will become the follower.
Buddha agreed . Ananda's 3 conditions were ---
1 . Wherever Buddha goes, he has to take Ananda with him .
2. However be silly , Buddha has to answer the questions asked by Ananda.
3. To whomever Ananda shows to Buddha , he has to give darshan and also some lectures to him at whatever be the time of the day.
As Buddha had agreed to the conditions, Ananda has become his follower.
He served Buddha for 40 years.
It was the time when Buddha was in his death bed. That time, Ananda came near him and said " I served you all these years. The followers who joined later to my arrival, all of them have succeeded in getting the final truth. But for me, nothing. Now you are also leaving me. After you, who will answer my questions? "
Hearing that , Buddha smiled , said " Its your own fault. Before coming here, you had put conditions. You thought you are elder to me and know everything. This became the hurdle in your path to achieve the goal. If you give up all these , just in half an hour you will also reach the final goal of life".
After saying this , Buddha died. Ananda decided to leave his all egos. As a result, he has reached his final goal of life.
