Why do apples float?

                                   Why do apples float?

This fact I observed yesterday. While washing apples in a water bucket, one apple accidentally slipped from my hand. I thought it will reach the bottom of bucket. But it wasn't. It started to float on water. It was not a magic.
Apples , they look fat and bulkier to hold. If we throw a small stone in water , it will sink . But an apple floats ! Why ?
Apples float because they have air inside them. Approximately 25 % of an apple's volume is air. This makes apple denser than water.
This is also known as law of buoyancy.
Objects more dense than water sink because they dont displace enough water to equal their weight.
