Why do buffaloes always stay in mud or water?
We can see buffaloes lying down always in the pond when it is sunny. It is not that they want to bath like we do daily ( atleast me ) !
They are thick skinned. Not only buffaloes, Rhinoceros, hippopotamus and others who are thick skinned always prefer to stay in water during sunny day.
They dont have sweat glands as we do.
On a sunny day, we sweat and our skin releases excess heat in form of sweat. But what they should do ? To get rid of the excess heat of their body , they plunge inside a water body.
