" Ukraine " name itself means " border land ". It borders to Russia in eastern region. On the other directions, it is surrounded by European countries.
Ukraine was the part of undivided soviet Russia or USSR. But as USSR was halved , even Ukraine came out of USSR and established itself as a new country,
The part of Ukraine which is nearer to Russia has large number of Russian language speaking persons. Russia wants to have this part . Here, the people too welcomed the Russian troop gathering near the border of the city.
But in other parts of Ukraine , it is mostly inhabited by Europeans. These people want to go with European Union , not with Russia.
Tensions are now mounting.
Ukraine dont have a strong military force which can confront with Russian troops. But Russia is adamant and is not listening to any words.
