What is a parallel electric circuit?

We have seen a series electric circuit. Here current has a single and only one path to complete its flow. If there is some breakage in between, circuit will not be completed.

If we provide more than one ways for flow of current , then what is the result?

There are many closed loops for current to flow. If there is a breakage in any path, the overall performance of circuit will not get disturbed.

It is a parallel circuit.  Here the components of circuits are connected across 2 points , that implies in parallel across each other.

In parallel circuit, total current is the addition of individual current of components. But voltage across each component remains same. Here , current has multiple closed paths to flow.
